hi blogger. im back for onli a short while.
suddenly feel like typing sth..haha.
i think this can be a personal blog rite now coz nobody visits this blog anymore.
not like its not interesting or anything but i juz never used it for a really long while..

hmm.wad happened recently?
oh yea..my prelims.
quite tough la. but still can manage.
BUT SS AND ELEC GEOG CAN JUZ KILL ME MAN!!
so much to memorize la!!
but i dun intend to memorize all..
at most juz flunk prelims for combine humans lor..haha

anw, ytd a guest speaker came to speak at comb cell ytd.
she is a missionary and she talked abt her amazing life story.
her name is Yumikim..
dunno how to spell la, but this is how i pronounced it..
anw,her story and testimony was really amazing..
it was so inspiring to me, i hope to share it w anyone who comes and read this blog.
want to tell you that God is always by our side, paving our paths for us.

she is a korean and her parents are of coz koreans la.haha
at grade 4(for Yumi) i think, her parents wanted to be missionaries in Cambodia.
so she and her bro had to sudy in the cambodian sch(they cant afford international sch)..
the sch there was quite horrible
they haf teachers who dun come to sch and she said there was alot of mosquitos..haha

she picked up the lang very fast and could speak fluent cambodi(i dunno if thats wad its called)
but she was thinking why did God put her in such a place where you cant explore,cant show ur potential or anything,cant make it big..

and then,one day, a korean citizen was walking along the roads at combodia and saw an old woman along the road.
she was a korean prisoner of war
(from the japanese conquest,WW2)
sent to cambodia to be a slave,
she was supposed to marry a jap soldier
but that idiotic soldier left her after marrying her
so she stayed where she was until now(i mean the time when she was discovered)

that korean citizen brought the korean press to cambodia to interview that woman(and that when God came to work:))
that old woman, though korean, stayed in Cam way too long so she could onli speak Cam.
guess who they got to translate for her? YUMIKIM!! yay! haha
yumikim(@15 yrs old),
followed her back to korea to do the translation for her and she got to meet those presidents and high ranking ppl of korea( coz the jap conquest was a big issue to Korea so the old woman's story was also a big hit..haha)

anw, how cool is that ?
being able to go to korea and meet those president and impt ppl..
so Yumi was finally put to use by God :D
she realized that sometimes you cant see why God makes you do sth, or puts you somewhere or some place. but he does it for a reason and you realize later on in ur life.

and that story's not all..
after the POW craze went down, yumi of coz need to go back to Cam la, no use alr ma..
when she got back, she went back to her mundane life of a Cam sch gurl
she kept crying and crying coz she really felt that she was useless in Cam coz there was nth for her to do..
kept asking God why he put her back in Cam?

however, one day the EX PRESIDENT OF KOREA went to visit a factory in Cam and he couldnt speak Cam and the factory boss(yumi's dad's fren) couldnt speak korean..
guess who sent to translate for them?
YUMIKIM!! yay!!haha
yea, then when translating for the ex-pres, God granted her favor in the ex-pres' eyes
and after she told him that she's studying in a Cam sch,
he said that she shouldnt stay in Cam coz she wont make it big,
so he decided for her to study in AMERCA!!

never in her wildest dreams did she even think of studying in America, knowing that her family cant even afford to pay Cam's international sch fees.
end up she was SPONSORED to study there!!!
AHHHH!!!
so good la..

how amazing is God rite?
if he wants something to be done, it will be done..
see how God worked in Yumi's life?
he put her in the Cam sch to learn Cambodi
and end up translating for impt ppl and thru her ability of translating,
she could meet the ex-pres(an appeal was even sent to the white house, to bill Clinton!)
who helped her go to A(america) to study..

for the first 5 mths at A,(she stayed in a hostel near sch) she din miss home or anything coz life there was very exciting, no mosquitoes or anything..
until she saw her room-mate's mom bringing in a basketful of cookies for her rm-mate.
the cookies triggered her homesickness and her fren was so busy w her mom, she din even offered her a cookie!
yumi suddenly realized that she missed her mum alot
and she wanted cookies and she was really sad and ran out of the hostel,
under a tree to cry her eyes out..

she kept crying and thinking of her mum but she felt God asking her, why cant you see the blessings i haf bestowed upon you? see the many amazing things i,ve done for you?
but she said " but im really sad and miss my mum, how to see the blessings?"
at that moment,the onli thing she was holding in her hand was a bible,
and God prompted her to a passage in the bible.

Psalm 103
8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.

9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;

10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.

11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;

12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

after reading the passage,
she felt really encouraged and went back to the hostel.
the next day at sunday sch,
they sang "count ur blessings, name them 1 by 1.."haha
after sunday sch,
the teacher suddenly brought her a basket of cookies
and on it was a note from her hostel mother(guardian)
"i was baking cookies, and thought of you. hope you enjoy ur cookies."

when she looked at it, she was so so happy after that,
her room mate pulled Yumi to her locker and gave more cookies,
saying that her mum baked for her the cookies.

yumi was so touched that she started crying
and she realized that God even cares abt even the trivial things that you desire like cookies.
he's always there for you whether you noe it anot.
anw, a few weeks later,
some korean lady went to visit the sch and brought her 2 bags full of cookies!
haha
and then she told God that its enough cookies or she'll grow fat..haha

she now in s'pore to start up a sunday sch programme
for those kindergarten children
she says that it better to tell them abt God while their still young if not,
when they get older, their heart will harden
and more difficult to tell them abt God.
Quite true la..

anw, her life story was such an inspiration to me and i hope that you get inspired by it too.
God's with you and w me! dun be afraid or discouraged by anything that comes in ur way!!
if something that is in God will, it will be done:D
finally..something to leave ur to think thru..
